Company Acknowledges More Work Required Across the Industry

HERNDON, VA – JULY 12, 2022 — NetCentrics, a market leader in cybersecurity, enterprise IT, and telecommunications solutions and services for the DoD, DHS, Federal Civilian Agencies, and Intelligence Community, today announced that Kenny Cushing won a Best CEO for Diversity award from Comparably.com.

The national award is based on verified, anonymous employee reviews from people of color who anonymously rated their CEOs on Comparably.com over a 12-month period (June 24, 2021 through June 24, 2022).

Employees were asked to score NetCentrics’ workplace on a number of factors, including: management, company culture, learning opportunities, career development, compensation, benefits and more. Sentiment scores ranked Mr. Cushing’s leadership among self-described diverse employees in the top 100 of similar size companies in the United States. NetCentrics ranks number 37.

“NetCentrics embraces the best talent in the field, no matter who they are. I am heartened that our ranks include a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and expectations because this makes our solutioning stronger than the competition,” says Mr. Cushing. “In today’s world we seek out and support diversity, not because it is the right thing to do – it is – but because the world of cybersecurity requires a multitude of perspectives. I am especially proud that our team feels comfortable bringing their ‘whole selves’ to work.”

He goes on: “Although we are a diverse team, there is still room to improve when it comes to diversifying our industry as a whole. We invite people of all backgrounds to review our open positions.”

This award comes after yesterday’s announcement that Mr. Cushing won a “Best CEO for Women” award based on verified employee ratings at the site, too.

Comparably’s “Best CEO for Diversity” awards in which NetCentrics is honored is found here. The awards compare companies of similar sizes across industries. Additional weight was given to companies with more participation from their employee base, relative to their company size, for statistical significance.

Employee participation was not required and there were no incentives associated with participation.
