Written October 31st, 2024

October 31, 2024 | Herndon, VA — U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized NetCentrics as one of the recipients of the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by U.S. Department of Labor. NetCentrics earned the Gold award in the Medium-size employer category after applying earlier this year and meeting the requirements. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.

NetCentrics joins 838 other companies from 49 states, plus the District of Columbia, who have shown a commitment to hiring veterans, while also ensuring that they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service.

Recipients of the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, ranging from veteran hiring and retention to providing veteran-specific resources, leadership programming, dedicated human resources, pay compensation and tuition assistance programs.

“We’ve made it a priority to recruit and hire veterans because we know the value of their military work and leadership experiences in business,” said Kenny Cushing, CEO of NetCentrics. “We know we can trust veterans to be laser-focused on accomplishing the mission for NetCentrics and our customers, and when things get tough, they have the grit, discipline and determination to succeed.”

“We are proud to work with some of the best men and women to serve our nation and we continue to strive for excellence in professional development, access to resources and community, and workplace satisfaction. This prestigious award underscores our dedication to supporting veterans as they embark on fulfilling civilian careers. We look forward to building on this success and making an even greater impact in the years ahead,” said Michael Hamlin, Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Manager at NetCentrics.
