Q: What is your background?
A: Born in New York, grew up in South America son of State Department diplomat, finished high school in Bethesda, MD, B.A. in Math at University of Rochester, NY, M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science (specialization AI – ML), worked in southern California in aerospace engineering, returned to Bethesda for family and better AI – ML opportunities in Washington, D.C.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Travel (cruises), sports (soccer, rugby, golf, tennis), reading (mystery novels), music (jazz, classical, blue grass).

Q: If you had an extra hour every day, what would you do?
A: Practice the art of the siesta.

Q: Who did you want to be when you were a kid?
A: Airplane pilot.

Q: If you could know the total and absolute truth to one question, what question would it be?
A: Origin of the universe.

Q: What is something that not many people know about you?
A: Bilingual in Spanish.

Q: If computers didn’t exist, what would you want your job to be?
A: Airplane pilot.
